Project Overview

This project focused on building a single case study template for digital portfolio work. The goal was to create a page that could present project information in a clear and professional way while keeping the layout simple and easy to read.

The template includes a hero image, project title, excerpt, custom field details, and the main content area. This structure allows each case study to follow the same format, which creates consistency across the website.

A key part of this project was using custom fields to display project-specific information such as the role, tools used, and project link. Instead of hard-coding everything, these details can be edited directly in the WordPress admin. This makes the template more flexible and reusable for future projects.

The content area was designed to support longer written descriptions, headings, and additional images. This is useful for explaining the design process, challenges, and final outcome of each project. It also helps make the portfolio feel more complete and more professional.

During this work, I became more comfortable with using WordPress template files such as single-project.php and archive-project.php. I also practiced using the loop, template tags, and custom fields together in one layout.

Overall, this project taught me how to build a reusable case study page that balances design, content, and functionality. It is an important part of creating a strong portfolio because it gives each project its own dedicated space and makes the work easier for users to explore.
